Children's Center

Loving Day Care and School Age Program for your Children

Children's Center

Director: Jackie Kush

Purpose: The Children's Center was established by Aldersgate United Methodist Church, a non-profit organization, to provide an opportunity for children of the church and the community to be involved in a developmental environment of Christian nurture which affirms we are children of God.

Philosophy: Our Christian Education Program teaches universal Christian concepts through a "hands-on" experience without compromising individual beliefs or family customs.

Day Care Program: Our program is designed to provide...

  • Physical development through indoor and outdoor play equipment
  • Social and emotional development through exploration and problem-solving
  • Language development through an emphahsis on listening and verbal skills
  • Stimulation of imagination and creative potential through art and dramatic play
  • Appreciation of music through the use of songs and musical instruments
  • Scientific knowledge through nature and scientific experiments as well as cooking projects

School Age Program:

  • The School Age Program serves children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade.
  • Provides after school transportation and homework assistance.
  • Provides a variety of enrichment activities for children attending Kindergarten through Junior High school in the community.

Camp Aldersgate:

Our full day summer camp program serves children in Kindergarten – 8th grade.

  • Small groups of children called “family groups” with one teacher ensures plenty of individual attention and safety while on field trips.
  • Lots of off campus field trips and on-site activities to keep them well entertained.
  • We offer enrichment activities such as: Art, Science, Cultural Awareness, Music, Drama, Service Projects (and much more) to help prevent summer learning loss while in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
